4. About T.J.
I’ve always followed my heart, explored everything with a deep enthusiasm and have played as much as possible wherever I can.
I’m a father to an epic, powerful 2 year old daughter, partner to an in-a-class-by-herself Goddess, recently ADHD diagnosed teacher, artist, weirdo, yogi.
I teach Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings full-time since 2016 with brand-new programs landing in 2025 all over the world & online.
I was a former full-time School Teacher teaching Art to kids, I was a Yoga Studio Manager for several years and an Artist most of my life (like a really weird all over the place artist).
Based in Barcelona after spending most of my lifetime basking in & around the contradictory splendors of New York City.
If you want specs:
• I am the author of Yin Nuance | The Tao Of Teaching & Practicing Yin Yoga, co-creator & host of the YINternational Summit and the Founder & Director of YUJMU.
• I am a 500ERYT with Yoga Alliance, a YACEP with Yoga Alliance and a 200RYS Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance.
• I have completed a 30 day solitary self guided meditation retreat at Milarepa Center in Vermont, a 10 day Vipassana retreat in Massachusetts and a 200hr Qi Gong Teacher Training in Thailand as well as a Thai Yoga Massage training.
• I have studied under a variety of teachers*, some known and some not so known including: Chen Taiji with Sifu Yu Guoshun, Check Taiji & Shaolin Kung Fu with Sifu Shi Yan Ming, Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, Qi Gong with Tevia Feng, Zen Calligraphy with Kazuaki Tanahashi, Qi Gong with Jesse Lee Parker (virtual), Wudang Taiji with Lindsey Wei (virtual), Qi Gong & Kung Fu with Sifu Yan Xin (virtual), painting with Don Kunz and Kalachakra Initiation with His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
* Thank you to all of my teachers, from the most revered names to the children & mosquitos who thoroughly challenged my ego.
May everything I learned be to free all beings from delusions & suffering.
Finally I share the following as I humbly bow to all of my students as I do not evolve as a guide if they do not exist as themselves and give me the opportunity to be a part of their journey, you are all such blessings, thank you.

The most engaging teacher I have ever had. -Matty M.
I can not explain what a joy it was to learn with him. Tj has an amazing skill of explaining quite complex esoteric spiritual concepts in the most digestible and relatable way. He manages to nurture the Yin that is within us all rather than layering things on top. -Safia A.
TJ radiates chill vibes and is such a peaceful but fun person with whom to study. -Sophie M.

TJ's artwork & his book which accompanied the lectures just spoke to my heart! He always had an open ear & heart for our worries, wishes & thoughts. TJ always reminded us to only take what we can embody through experience and what resonates with us and to let go of the rest. TJ really leads without leading, teaches without teaching - simply guiding, opening the door from each moment of being with what is into the next. -Karoline F.
TJ is one of the kindest and most compassionate teachers I’ve ever trained with. He has a safe and nurturing presence that encourages playful learning and growth. He reminds all of his students to always trust themselves and their own wisdom first, and he reminded me that deeply honouring and listening to my body will always be enough. -Natalie E.
TJ is an awesome instructor and facilitator. He creates a strong atmosphere of non-judgement and welcome and teaching from the point of view of exploration. -Eric A.
More about TJ? He was born to teach! He is an incredible communicator & has great intentions for his students. He aims to understand all his students & encourages group-learning. -Rikita B.
It was an absolute pleasure learning with TJ. He's relaxed and fun, but also knowledgeable and takes the work seriously; and so it was a wonderful balance and learning experience. -Shauntelle J.
Despite his experience studying under some of the most iconic teachers of the Yin practice, TJ exudes a spirit of humility, kindness, and playfulness. -Amanda S.
TJ is great teacher, his chilled out vibe made all the learning fun! One of the calmest, intelligent and loveliest guys I've ever met! I found TJ's words on meditation most beneficial, and will continue to practice using the techniques he shared. -Helen B.
TJ was always open to questions and insights from others, which meant everybody learnt from everybody. -Lisette H.
